Kangaroos hop into East Fremantle Community Park for WA training week
Perth footy fans got a surprise treat recently when the North Melbourne Football Club set up camp at East Fremantle Community Park (EFCP) during their visit to WA in June. Throughout their stay, the Kangaroos made full use of EFCP’s state-of-the-art facilities, which provided the team with a comprehensive base for their training and wellness needs.
B Active Gym supported the team’s strength and conditioning sessions, while Carnaby’s Bar & Restaurant ensured players and staff were well-fuelled with fresh, nutritious meals.
The main oval provided the perfect area for training drills and team run-throughs, drawing in fans who enjoyed the chance to meet players, snap some photos and collect autographs from their favourite players.

The collaboration came about through an invitation from East Fremantle Football Club, who were delighted to offer the space to NMFC for the duration of their Perth visit.
“It was fantastic to have North Melbourne Football Club here at East Fremantle Community Park,” said EFCP Venue Manager Glen McCulloch.
“We’re proud of everything EFCP has to offer and it was fantastic to host an AFL team. Hopefully, we’ll see them back again next year.”
NMFC’s Operations Manager, Cameron Matthews, thanked the EFCP team and praised the venue’s facilities and accessibility. “This was an incredibly convenient location for us, close to our accommodation, with great amenities. The gym space and restaurant provided everything we needed, and the oval was in excellent condition.”
